Inspirational Art 4u - Inspirational Artwork Pictures by the inspired artist Edward McNaught-Davis
It is much quicker for me, the artist/illustrator, to draw to your line drawing requirements, by digital means than it is by traditional pen and ink or pencil on paper methods. As a result I can pass on these time savings to you in respect of cost providing you follow my basic rules as laid out on my Commission an Illustration page. At the moment, I’m limiting my digital line portraits and digital pencil drawings to black and white illustrations. Although I’m domiciled in Ceredigion, Wales (UK), I can draw for you wherever you are located in the World.
You can use these types of illustrations for personalised birthday cards, business leaving cards, your web sites, training materials, product/service literature or simply as a picture to frame and hang on the wall or indeed anything else. Shown below are a variety of digital line and digital pencil samples to fire up your imagination. These include Single People Portraits, Family Portraits and Dog Portraits (pets). I can draw whatever you require as a serious illustration or with a humorous twist. Similarly, I am able to digitally illustrate your house or place of work or your car or anything you would like me to draw providing the requirement is for a black and white line illustration by digital means. The alternatives I offer are for you to commission a painting instead or hand coloured cartoons using traditional methods.
With the exception of the digital pencil drawings, all the above digital drawings were illustrated purely with a mouse and directly onto the PC screen. The drawing software used was Serif’s DrawPlus X2 and each digitised illustration was saved as a Vector drawing in its native format.
This means that the final output of each picture can be made into any physical size without losing drawing line value integrity. So if you commissioned me to illustrate something at one specified size and then changed your mind, after the commission had been completed, to have the image at a much larger size (or smaller), then this could be easily achieved and without me having to redraw your requirement from scratch.
The versatility doesn’t stop there either. It is easy to change the digital illustration line thickness too as well as how the drawing should look; such as in charcoal, pastel, crayon or felt tip pen, for example.
