“Moroccan Desert”
Oil Pastel on Paper
288 mm x 184 mm
(11.33 x 7.25 inches)
Price: GBP 65.00
About the Painting: “Moroccan Desert”
This desert picture would warm up any cold room! Although the painting has a simplicity
to it, the challenge was to control the oil pastel blends to avoid mucky hues from
developing. I wanted to see if I could make many tones of golden hues from a limited
palette with the predominate colour being yellow. If you enjoy the colour of yellow
too then have a look at my “Cows Drinking” painting.
“Indian Desert”
Watercolour on Paper
210 mm x 147 mm
(8.25 x 5.80 inches)
Price: GBP 50.00
About the Painting: “Indian Desert”
This desert painting is quite extraordinary in the way it was painted. I was doodling
and thinking what to paint next when this painting developed sub consciously. I’m
also a practising spiritual medium and clairvoyant with my own email psychic reading
services and I believe that this painting is a psychic painting channeled from one
of my Red Indian spirit guides. The picture was painted extremely quickly and was
finished within 20 minutes.
“American Desert”
Watercolour on Paper
146 mm x 95 mm
(5.75 x 3.75 inches)
Price: GBP 45.00
About the Painting: “American Desert”
Pictures of deserts do not seem to be common and which is a shame as there are so
many interesting things plus a spectrum of colours to see. I enjoy accentuating colours
to make them appear more alive so that you too will notice them. In this desert picture
the intention was to mix cool and warm colours together while still maintaining a
pleasing balance. You may be interested in viewing my mountain paintings too.
Pictures of Deserts
Paintings of Deserts have always interested me probably because I have travelled
through many of them. Not all deserts scream to be captured in paint but those that
do are usually as a result of interesting lighting conditions and especially during
sunsets. The “Moroccan Desert” is a generic shifting sand dune desert whose dune
shapes will change with the wind. The picture of the Indian Desert is a psychic painting
whereas the desert painting entitled “American Desert” has much artist license attributed
to it. My mountain painting of Snowdonia has the look of a cold desert.
