The top and two sides of the canvas fish tank are painted too and show refracted images of the fish and plant life within.
Miniature Painting Services
Miniature painting services currently fall into two categories; small paintings of Wales and true miniature paintings to near standards of the Royal Miniature Society (RMS). The RMS has stringent painting rules. Although I have a selection of paintings to RMS standards, I am not ready to put them up here yet. Instead I have displayed a small painting entitled, the “Fish Tank”. This is painted onto block canvas to give it more of a 3D appeal. Although the fish themselves and the rockery and plant life within would possibly fall into a true miniature category, the overall dimensions of the painting are not small enough to be classed as a miniature painting. My “Fish Tank” painting took an exceptionally long time to produce as I used layering techniques encompassing thin glazes of Artist’s Acrylic paint.
